ICFF 2007: Kristofer Laméy

A few seconds after this photo was snapped, the man began jumping up and down. Why, you ask? We'll get to that after the jump.

First, let us introduce the table stander. Kristofer Laméy is an Atlanta-based artist and designer who was at ICFF to show his wares, among them the infinitely expandable slatted coffee table system underfoot, which he calls Seventy Degrees after its surface-to-post angle.

Laméy's been refining these glass, plywood, and metal tables for some time to optimize the design for mass production. They're strong (the jumping proved it), flat-packable, and easily expanded or sized down with the addition or removal of slats and connecting hardware. Anyone have a manufacturer or distributor for him?

Check out Laméy's website for more info on Seventy Degrees, as well as pics of his gorgeous comisssioned works.
