If we were furnishing our dream house, the foyer would most likely include this gorgeous bench, from Dutch craftsman Pieter Van Tuyl, and a wool rug from Sante Fe's Robin Gray Designs, pictured below the jump.

Is VanTuyl reading Apartment Therapy?

His bench recalls the Patterson Bench, though less rustic and with the addition of simple, monochromatic embellishment as seen on Ohio Design's PrintFurniture and Lab31's Temescal line.

Gray's rugs are a little like Angela Adams' nature-inspired underfoot patterns, but richer, more refined..and no doubt more expensive.

We didn't actually get prices on this pass. Since this is a dream house we're talking about, we're almost better off not knowing.

The bench is beautiful but could someone actually lean against the back and be supported?
