Gold's work is intended to combine fun and functionality with fine art. Each of his pieces offers a unique design "twist" that sets it apart from other beautiful custom furniture of its kind.
The "twisted" shelving unit is a funky take on open storage, with one off-kilter storage "cube" interrupting the sleek, conservative feel of its neighbors. A table called "the stink tree" contains a fault line, creating crevices that could be used for book or magazine storage. And a coffee table, "wasted," is constructed entirely from workshop scraps, inlaid together into a beautiful mosaic.

I like the first and last - but the other two don't hold much appeal for me.
