We found this wonderful shot of black tulips on a blog we read regularly. Black tulips! We love it. The author tells us that she planted them in her almost all white garden and that they're just so striking. We're smitten. Take a closer look after the jump.
From Around the House:
I just had to show you these spectacular black tulips today. I'm crazy about them these days, and I wish I had planted more of them ;-) Last year I started adding some black flowers in an area of the garden, and I'm quite thrilled with it (Even though I'm opting for an all white garden ;-)) They really are quite striking for cut flowers!
I work in a flower shop and some of my favorite flowers that come in are black tulips and dahlias.

Really hard to find these wonderful black tulips!

No, they're not that hard to find. 'Queen of the Night' is the variety I think these are, one of my favorites, and they're included in almost any good garden catalog that has tulips.
I adore them, especially with white or green flowers.

This is so beautiful! The contrast of the colors and the styling are so lovely. Monica of M&Co always has such great taste -- always with a touch of whimsy. Thanks for sharing!
