Free Gardening Classes at Magic Gardens Nursery

Until we got some much-needed gardening lessons from a relative we were convinced we had a black thumb. For those of you not lucky enough to have your own gardening tutor, Magic Gardens Nursery in Berkeley offers free one-hour classes several Saturdays a month on topics ranging from edibles to container gardening to landscaping tricks.

All classes are free, include complimentary coffee and pastries at the beginning, and participants get a 10% discount on plants purchased the same day.

On the schedule in the next month (all classes are on Saturdays, and all start at 10 am):

April 19th - ABC's of the Kitchen Garden

May 3rd - Colorful Containers

May 17th - Plants for Structural and Architectural Interest in the Landscape

Gardening tutor or not, we may head over to Berkeley some weekend soon to take a class from the experts.
