Hanging Art Outside

With the season's emphasis on recreating whole indoor spaces outdoors — not just living rooms anymore, but bedrooms, kitchens and even bathrooms — there is one thing we see braving the elements considerably less often: hanging art.

We can think of a few ways to go about it:

• Find art that is specifically made for outdoor use (like the tile collage at top, or Annie and Eric's kitschy road sign, below)
• Figure out how to weather-proof the artwork
• Move art indoors when the party does

What do you think? Is this even a look you like? Maybe you think garden flora and fauna should serve as the sole aesthetic stimulation. Or perhaps it all just seems like too much trouble.

Thoughts?

Weird. The road sign is the only one of these examples that I DON'T like.
