Haute Terrariums

11.3.9 terrariums 3.jpgWe love terrariums, and are super interested in their many manifestations. These, in particular, are super sleek and beautiful twists on the standard dome format...

11.3.9 terrariums 1.jpgFloral stylist Lindsey Taylor and designer Paula Hayes have teamed up to create these fantastic habitats inside of glass cubes, bubbles, and interestingly shaped glass containers.

Check out this amazing gallery of inspirational designs and covetable tiny forests of beautiful plants, rocks and water here.

Ditto on the first one. Who would put a flacid terrarium on their table!

I make terrariums too although a lot more kistchy than the elegant ones above. I use thrift store glassware and ceramics and then sculpt figurines to inhabit the little plantscapes.
I would like to push my design in a more modern direction like the artists above - I am trying some new things with tillandsias.
