Update (Thursday, 11:45am): Thank you for your interest in our giveaway! We are no longer accepting comments. We will be announcing the winner later this afternoon so please stay tuned!

Once upon a time, AT:NY did a survey about Method Home cleaning products. An overwhelming number of respondents said they loved them. So we decided to team up with the San Francisco-based company and put together a gift basket for one lucky AT reader.
In exchange for having the basket bestowed upon you, we ask that you submit a review later, letting us know what you think of the Method products. If you can and would like to test out the goods, please comment below telling us why you'd be the best one to do it.
Oh, whats in this special gift basket, you ask? Lots of stuff:

OH PLEASE OH PLEASE let me win the Method giveaway. I live waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down in the southern part tip of Alabama, where Method is still (relatively) new (we don't get a lot of cool stuff around these parts, just hurricanes). In exchange, I promise to write my reviews with a southern accent!

I have been trying to convince my husband that eco-friendly cleaning products work just as well as the scary chemically-yucky based ones. Unfortunately he is the one who does most of the grocery shopping so it is difficult for me to get them purchased when the products are needed. This would be the perfect opportunity to finally get all of the products in my home. My husband and I are both engineers so we will be able to give through "technical" reviews from both sides of the fence. Please help me reduce the scary chemicals in my home.

I already love Method*, as a design professional they won me over with their attractive and functional packaging. As a human being they won me over with their dedication to the envinroment. As someone who hates housecleaning--well, I'm not entirely convinced they've made too many in-roads with me on that front.
However, even living in the "big city" I've had little chance to try the full range of their products--and have even resorted to ordering some of them directly from their website in order to give them a try.
I'm definitely willing to be completely subjective as well, I'll be the first to say that while I've tried their new dishwashing capsules--I've switched back to my old non-eco-friendly detergent in despair.
I already use a number of "traditional" eco-friendly products such as Borax and simple vinegar and baking soda for cleaning, so could easily do a comparison for those of us who tire of being forced to "make our own".

As a total neat-freak and the owner of a new little pup, I find myself cleaning, or sanitizing, or deodorizing almost everyday. And having a little pooch who, I swear, licks everything from spilled food off the floor to fuzzballs, I'm always looking for safe, non-toxic products. Let Coney and I test drive these products and report back on how they measure up!

They look good, but does function follow form? Window dressing or window cleaning? This is what AT readers need to know about Method, and I believe I have the appropriate proving ground: Home is 1500 square feet filled with 3 boys under 5 and a messy husband cleaned, all lovingly maintained without outside help. All surfaces are spilled on, stepped on, drooled on, and eaten on - so clean is only one half of the job. Safe is the other. This is right proving ground for Method - give us a basket, 30 days, and a soapbox and we'll give you answers.

Wow, this would be so amazing to win! I use a couple of Method products now. To begin with I was attracted by their cool bottles and nice smells, but then I found that they really work. The cutting block has never looked so good.
With a little one in the house I am always excited to find a safe cleaner to use that is not harsh on the environment. The Lavender counter spray is fantastic and smells nice to boot! I hope I get to experiment with all of the rest of what will come in the basket. I will pass the word on to the other Moms too around town and spread the word. Crossing my fingers - I'll stay tuned.

Of course, I would love to try this! I have slowly been collecting sustainable-living (and sustainable-shopping) links, products, and methods, but have not moved on to the cleaning products (I did swap out paper towels some time ago for bar towels). This would be quite the incentive!
Right now, I'm looking at reducing my energy consumption. I'm pricing 1/2 and 3/4 size refrigerators and looking into low-power computing. (I have not even yet installed my air conditioning units. If I can make it through this week, I may never install them!)

I finally found my first apartment! It's San Francisco so you can imagine the wear and tear in the apartments here.
I've been cleaning the place from floor to ceiling, but I'm a little worried about using harsh cleaners in the kitchen. I want to clean the cabinets and cupboards, but I don't want any chemicals that would be too nasty since the kitchen is a place for food. It seems that if Method's work, my dilemma would be solved!

I would ask for consideration but I think by now I pretty much have every product Method has.
Well, give or take two or three. Although, if they come in different scents than the ones I have, pick me!
Ok, I just realized that I have to try the aroma rings. Count me in!

I'm the one to do it because I'm a skeptic, and a lazy one at that. I love the idea of green products, and Method goods are really pretty, but do they really work? And do they require more effort than my normal household cleaners? I would love to put them to the test against my old faithful Fantastik, 409, etc.

My boyfriend asked me to move in with him, and next month we're making it happen. I wonder from time to time if he's fully aware of what he's getting himself into -- me being a certified closet germophone and neat freak and all that. Although I envision overall domestic bliss, I secretly fear the untidy chaos that comes from setting up shop with someone who might be a wee bit on the careless side. Don't get me wrong -- my boyfriend keeps a good house, but our views on chores and household upkeep seem at odds from time to time. I ask you: Is it so wrong to want everything to be hung up properly and put away? Smudge free surfaces? Sparkling dishes? Magazines on the coffee table in a neat array? My boyfriend sometimes seems to think so. As I try to relax into a slightly less anal-retentive routine next month, I hope that we'll both be happy with the changes in our lives -- and that I can prove to my love that there's a "method" to my madness after all.

I am (on Monday) about to move into an apartment that has been sitting empty for the last six months. The windows are nice, if I could see out of them. I hear the floors are maple under the half inch of dust. I'm excited to have found it, but I will be more excited when I can actually see some of the potential though the grime.
Why, specifically, Method? Because where I am, it's not sold. I discovered it on a trip to Toronto, and the first thing I did on my return (The first thing! Before unpacking, or checking my cats water dish!) was email Method telling them to incorporate already so I could buy stock. Lots of stock.

My favorite Method memory is from earlier this year. I sublet a room from the sweetest, nicest girl, who also had a bad case of cleaning OCD. She wasn't there the day I moved in, but she left me a note in dry erase marker on the bathroom mirror: "If you take a shower, please spray the shower walls with the Method shower cleaner, then squeegee."
Wegot along just fine.

I'd love to see more Method up here on Vancouver Island.
I'd prefer not to travel far and wide for great green products.
In a quest for organic, unbleached tampons I successfully lobbied my local drugstore to carry Natracare products.

I'd like to be able to do the same with Method if they are effective and as green as the ingredient list states. And they'd certainly look beautiful in my bathroom cupboard!

so I'm out of dishwashing soap. I've been out for about a week now. I went to Target and somehow forgot to pick up some Method! Grr. So I went Safeway (I know, I know, but I swore they carried it...) I had my hand on the 'Planet' dishsoap, and then remembered it is nowhere near as good as Method. It lacks the charming grapefruit scent, the modern packaging, the cute CEOs. I went to Whole Foods on my lunch hour. Who knew they did not carry Method? This time I was strong. I was not lulled for even one second by the 365 dishsoap. You can't fool me! You are not Method!
My dishes are piling up. I'm running out of dishes. Its a serious problem, this brand loyalty. I'm clearly hooked.

Hi there!
My husband and I are moving out of our apartment in two weeks and before we do that we have to finish the great Stuff Purge of 2007 which we started a couple of months ago, and we also need to clean the apartment (we like to leave the places looking nice and neat for the next folks who rent after us). We're running low on several cleaning supplies and I had asked my husband (who does the shopping in our household) to let me know before buying new ones because I'd like to try stuff that's better for the environment and better for us!
Seems kinda like kismet that you should be looking to have someone review environment and people friendly cleaning products just when I would be looking to purchase some huh?
Pick me! :)

I just moved into my new condo a few months ago and love the method granite cleaner. I feel like such an adult using the cleaner on my very own kitchen counter that I bought all by myself! But I could really use the rings for the smell from my dog. You'd be amazed at the scents and dirt they pick up when walking in the city. And then let's move onto how i smell these days after running. It's 90 degrees and 90% humidity here and i'm training for the marathon. Let's see how well those bloq products really work!

My house would put any cleaning product to the test! My home is a single family in rural West Virginia - add 2 large dogs, 2 cats and a dirty (dirty!) husband and well, clean doesn't always come easy. We grow our own food, employ "reduce, reuse and recycle" when possible and would love to find safe, natural cleaning products that really work.
Give us a chance out here in Appalachia - our dirt is really dirty. (okay, that cracked me up.)

I have used a few Method products and adore them. I love mainly the Ylang Ylang Shower spray, which makes water slip from my concrete shower walls and makes everything smell slightly perfumed and CLEAN.
I designed my house around the concept of easy cleaning. I have a bungalow built in 1926 which I gutted and remade in the embracement of minimalism. All moldings - gone. One less thing to dust. Entire house can be vacuumed in 15 minutes from one electrical outlet. My bathroom is designed like a locker room shower, so that when I need clean, I spray the entire thing down with my hand held sprayer from tub ensemble, after spraying with Ylang Ylang Method cleaner, all goes down the drain, voila. I have MS so energy saving technique is critical. I consider my house my sanctuary, and in my book no sanctuary should never smell of bleach or any offensive odor. Method embraces this idea and takes it a step further by making all of their products smell, well, peace inducing.
Additionally, my house is extremely photogenic. So should you want a photo or two of products in use . . . . they'll look super!

Oh - me, me! I must be chosen as the winner of these great products because I LOVE to clean. Let me rephrase that - I love cleaning products. I would gladly dust, sweep, shine, foam - you name it - for hours as long as I have a fun, new cleaning product in my hand.
Honestly, cleaning toilets isn't fun...that is until you drop in a tab that fizzes and smells like green apples@! Its all about the cleaning products and its become a small obession of mine.
My shining moment - when my husband told my father in law I would be most happy recieving a basket of cleaning supplies for Christmas!

I have a cat. She's fat and into everything.
I am not broke - so give the products to our aspiring litigator -I wouldn't mind just writing about them.

I just purchased my first home/apt (woo hoo!) and moved in less than two weeks ago. Its new construction in Brooklyn. There is grime/dust/spackle/wood shavings/metal chips/streaks/smudges/hand prints/boot prints/tile chips (and even food splatters in what was supposed to be a brand new appliance) EVERYWHERE! I am trying to clean when I can, but as we are still unpacking boxes, any mess I clean reappears. PICK ME, because I will be able to test everyone of those products on some tough messes. PS: I bought the Method stainless steel cleaner a few days after I moved in on the recommendation of my sister (this is the first time I've had stainless steel appliances) and I thought it was amazing. Nothing else removed the smudges!

remember those odd little kids from your childhood who used to put absolutely everything in their mouths, even gunk off the bottom of their feet? well, despite my own fastidiousness and the near-draconian household rules i've enforced, my toddler is in danger of becoming one of those kids. i basically can't clean a cranny of the house fast enough before i hear her usual refrain 'what's that, mama?' mere moments after she's finished trying to initially solve the mystery with her mouth. obviously, scrubbing up with the usual (toxic) cleaning suspects isn't any better than letting her sample whatever needed cleaning in the first place. i'd like to giver her innards a sporting chance, at the very least, until she starts pre-school and her peers begin to shame her in a way that may be more effective than mommy's lecturing.

my friends joke about how im the happiest when im cleaning. its cathartic for me. ive tried EVERY household product out there, and finally rely on just METHOD.what first drew my attention to method products was definitely their packaging. it simply looks more chic. but then i discovered that they were actually much better than the abrasive, harsh-smelling, barely working competitors (not to mention their cumbersome, tacky look). needless to say, ive been a loyal METHOD user for the last few years. if i won the basket of method products, youd know for sure theyd go to use...smile included! :)

I've seen a few of these at Target, main reason why I haven't picked them up? brand loyalty. I have an idea of what they'll be like, try and prove me wrong. My sister has the hand washing soap in the shape of a rain drop... they're PRETTY, but first thing I'd do would be to get rid of the sticker thing in the front, 'cause it just looks weird. Method? I don't want to think when I'm washing my hands. I don't want to read how much better my sister is because she uses "green" products. But I will admit I was a little jealous when I smelled her soap. HOWEVER, 2 bucks more than the fun foamy type? I love bubbles, plus foamy soap leaves my hands feeling really clean, not... "greasy". My guesses for all of them:
All-purpose cleaner - Certainly not "All-purpose", with 3 cats and two couch potato guys in the house, I doubt it. I want to believe it, but DOUBT IT.
Hand wash - Greasy, yuk.
Flushable wipes - Uh... for my booty? Oh, (I just read about them)... well, that's silly. I haven't thrown my Clorox wipes down the toilet, 'cause I've a waste basket right there... but I'll try that.
Dish soap - I'll probably try that one, 'cause the bottle's pretty.
Bloq products - 6 dollars for two bars of soap! WHAT THE HE(LL) ARE THEY THINKING! WHAT? These I'll definitely never try.
Aroma ring - I so wanted to get this, 'cause it's really pretty and the green one smells awesome... but 8 bucks for something I don't even know will work. (Again, 3 cats) We use the grass glade kind and we love it. (Heatable "oil")
Laundry detergent - I love Gain's Apple Mango Tango. Plus it doesn't make me break out, so that I certainly wouldn't try, specially at 8 for what looks like a TINY bottle.
Wood furniture polish - Hardly any wood furniture here, mostly that laminated blah blah, except for a chunky mirror above the fireplace. So, I wouldn't pay to try it.
Wood microfiber cloth - that looks like it'd be nice for my laminated stuff, which is probably a lot more frail than real wood. The packaging for this one's kinda ugly.. no, sorry, TOTALLY NASTY. It looks cheap, and it's probably the cheapest in the line.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a cheap-o, regardless of what it looks like, lol, but because of my brand loyalty I've set a price point for the products I buy. And cleaning products ARE cheap. We've to get a couple of bottles of Resolve, a few others of Clorox wipes, and SO MANY paper towels, simply because (again, 3 cats... ) so 8 dollars a bottle of blah blah times 3 times 12... you get my point? Also, I think here in Texas, awesome brands like Kashi are being thrown in the clearance isle because people don't want to try them. I got hooked on their crunchy cereal. :P But still, sorry for ranting, but this looks like a good oportunity to try something new. Hell, I'll even pay for shipping. lol

My houseboy Bjorn has really been falling down on the job lately--spending way too much time in his closet listening to old Abba cassettes--moaning and whining. I think Method cleaning products may be just the ticket to give him back the cleaning feeling (oh, that cleaning feeling). He does a pretty good job on the house but his steel head cage" and rubber sleep sack could really use a good scrubbing. Pinesol makes him break out into a full body rash which is very unattractive and I don't like the smell of the vinegar Windex he favors. My quality of live is really suffering. Please help!

To put it simply: I don't need more cleaning products, nor do I have a professed love of Method brand products. But I will always have a need to clean my house to the exacting of standards. And if picked, all of these products will see repeated usage in my condo (my own unit and the hallways) to ascertain their effectiveness, including what sets them apart from other products (in addition to their proclaimed enviro friendly philosophy). If picked, I will take on this challenge in an unbiased manner.

My boyfriend Garett and i have two different viewpoints on what "clean" really means. Any discussion will always end up with a story that begins..."Back at the Red Lobster..". I just roll my eyes. That was 15 years ago. Anyhow...I digress....I'm most qualified for the basket of stuff because:
1. We've already purchased a bottle of Method dish detergent (grapefuit...large one).....great product i suppose...does the job....but functionally speaking- it doen't lend to holding very well and dispensing said product with one hand when you're in the middle of washing dishes.
So please send me the stuff so i can prove to Garett that method isn't just style over substance.

I have a spectacularly dumb cat named Turtle. He is loving and comical, but he needs a few more brain cells. For example, he is constantly on the look out for the stray bug that comes in to the apartment. When he spots one, he is surprisingly adept at catching the bug, but once it hits the ground, he runs under the bed and won't come out until we get rid of his catch.
Recently, he has taken a liking to cleaning products. The sunny orange scent of cleaning products lures him under the kitchen cabinet for a sniff, or lick, and Lord knows what else he eats while I'm gone.
I've gradually begun switching to Method products (he particularly likes the wood cleaner. Almond, mmm), and would love the chance to try them all out. As would Turtle.
Thanks!

We live in a 1100 sq. ft. house circa WWII in the city with two hairy beagles. I talk about the house and the beagles and sometimes the husband on my blog.

I've just moved into a new apartment, and everything is covered in a thin layer of dirt - dusty floors, foggy windows, grimy bathroom, greasy stove. I would love to incorporate these products into the top-to-bottom cleaning that desperately needs to happen (but has been on hold as I balk at buying an expensive array of toxic crap). (On the topic of the toxic crap - the problem is that I know it works. I've been burned by subpar eco-friendly cleaners in the past, and I can't afford to shell out for a bottle I'm never going to use after I discover it leaves a residue or doesn't work, let alone an entire arsenal.) We have the hand soap and lotion at my office at work and I love them, but have always hesitated to buy the cleaning products for my home because my boyfriend is committed to buying only eco-friendly cleansers. I would be a good candidate for Method cleaning products because in general I am very skeptical of cleaning products. I believe that people over use bleaches and other products to âkillâ the bacteria in their homes, when you are not only killing the bad stuff but also the good stuff. I am a naturalist and would someday love to have a system where I can re-use all my gray water. I believe that some of the best cleaning products are the ones that people have used before the introduction of many of the harsh chemicals that are around today like lemon juice and vinegar. If I do buy cleaner, it is my olâ favorite â Trader Joeâs All Purpose Cleaner with natural oils â it works on everything from my floors to my oven!!

I'd be a great candidate because:
1) I just bought a flat and am spending all of my time cleaning and redoing things and Method stuff doesn't leave a chemical scent all over the place.
2) I'm six months pregnant, and trying to avoid breathing in toxic fumes.
3) I'm now house-poor, and a basket of Method stuff would be a coup!
And I buy their stuff already; haven't tried everything, but I'd like to. I love their hand soap (using the pink grapefruit right now) and their wood cleaning wipes (the almond scent is fabulous).
I scored at Christmas time and found a bottle of their peppermint and vanilla all-purpose spray marked down to $1.00 at Target, and mourned because it appears to be a seasonal scent; I should've bought 10 of them, because it smells amazing!

It is also damn near impossible to keep either one of them from eating off the floor or kitchen counters, so I have to use non-toxic cleaners in the house. I'm so sick of using baking soda and vinegar to clean. Please help my house stop smelling like a cider factory and let me delegate the baking soda and vinegar back to making volcanoes, not cleaning!

I would probably be the worse reviewer because I already like some Method products AND I don't clean very well. However, if I win, I will try my best to be disregard Method's chic packaging and eco-friendliness and evaluate each product based upon actual effectiveness in comparison to other commerical brands. I will also promise to do the cleaning instead of waiting (and hoping) that my husband gets it done first.

I've got 2 cats, so I can tell you how well the aroma ring works with kitty litter odors (is there anything worse?). I've got 3 dogs, so I can tell you if those microfiber cloths take nose smudges off glass doors and if the wipes take care of muddy paw prints. With all of them running around, you can bet I need a good all-purpose cleaner for floors, counters, tabletops, bathrooms, and wiping down the kitchen appliances. One dog likes to nap on the wood coffee table, so I need a good cleaning cloth and polish for that, too! Betwen our laundry and all the dog beds and rags, a good environmentally-friendly detergent would be a godsend. Finally, when I take a shower to relax and clean off, I bet Bloq would make it all seem quite spa-like!
I love Method products, not just because of the cute (and recyclable) packaging (but how glad am I that they redesigned the dish soap bottle!) but because I don't have to worry about who licks the floor or counters after I clean them. Which leads to more cleaning. And more washing. *sigh* Has Method come up with an easy way to vacuum yet?

I am a method addict. I can't even decide which one to pick as a favorite, which I suppose is a testament to the fact that they make amazing products. The "wood for good" polish might be the front runner, though. It smells so clean, but in a natural healthy way, as opposed to the harsh artificial lemon chemicals I remember. It makes our wood furniture glow without making the surfaces oily or greasy. I actually have a theory that other wood polishes are designed to attract dirt by making the furniture kind of sticky so you would have to dust more often an therefore buy more of their nasty product. I find that with the method polish, I actually dust my furniture less. But when it is time for dusting, I must admit that I thoroughly enjoy it. Thank you, method, for making the most mundane of tasks a pleasure....

Oh, pick me. I work/live with two boys, a dog and a husband and am expecting in the new year. Anything that would help keep the house smelling nicer would make me happy. I'm sensitive to smells at this point in my pregnancy, and can't stand anything bleachy at all.
Also, I'm in love with the foaming soap. It's the only soap I could find that would not make my hands a dry mess with the five billion hand washings that go on around here.

I'll do it. I was going to give Method another chance as a supposedly greener alternative. I thought since I have a Target down the street I could make this a sustainable change if I actually like the products. I remember using the dishwashing soap and thinking "Not bad". But I cant remember why it didnt stick. So I'll be a pretty impartial reviewer. Plus we all gotta clean and I dont like to do it often but when I find a good product or service I will sing its praises.

I am a cleaning convert of sorts. I recently went cold turkey from the eco "unfriendly" to good old fashioned baking soda and vinegar. Even my laundry is old school Borax. But I would like to dip my toes back into the mainstream - ever so slightly-with a commercial product that will hopefully make things a bit easier without compromising what I hope to achieve : eco-friendly cleaning nirvana.

New place new cleaning problems. I'm only familiar with the Method after shower ylang-ylang spray, but I've never gone a day without using it. For me, cleaning isn't something tedious or fun, it's something I have to do whether I want to or not. But seeing as how the one product I use is an almost effortless way to clean, I'd love to see how the other Method products relate. I love that the packaging is clean and simple and I hope that after I use it, my place can be that way too.

I would love to get the gift basket and do a review. I've been a devoted user of many Method products for quite a while, but haven't tried any of those included here. Here are some of my thoughts on the products I have used:
CUCUMBER/LAVENDER/GRAPEFRUIT WIPES: Love the cucumber scent, could take or leave the other two. They work great as a basic wipe for light cleaning (but you'll need something extra for tough grime). They're also really strong, so you can rinse out and wipe again and use w/ a spray. It would be great if they made a larger size and/or a big refill. You can go through the canister really quickly and I hate having to toss it away (even if it is recyclable).
WINDOW WASH: Works great. Just as good as windex, but doesn't smell like chemicals. Not much else to say...
DAILY SHOWER SPRAY: Great in that it doesn't smell toxic...as far as how well it works, its a little hard to tell. I think it works just as well as its mass market counterparts (besides, who wants to be trapped in a tiny area w/ a cloud of chemicals around your bare skin...and in your lungs!). Will help keep your bath/shower cleaner in between regular cleanings.
Just a taste of what you can expect if you pick me for the gift basket!

We are living in corporate housing while we look for a new home for us and our 2 year old son. Corporate housing for those of you who don't know are really nice hotel suites. LOL Except the house keepers don't come everyday so there is a lot of dust, etc that builds up. It would be great to have all these great products to do a thorough cleaning for all three of us. Help us clean our home away from home.
I remember the very short lived store that Method had in Union Square. Method if you are reading this, bring back the store!!!

Hi!
I live in a barely 400 square-foot apartment with 2 cats and one boyfriend. We love a tidy, healthy space. Unfortunately this boyfriend (in his bachelor days) bought tons of awful bulk cleaning products --full of nasty, toxic chemicals that smell like a school cafeteria. Now, I'm biding my time until those products are used up---just wishing for the lovely packaging and scents from Method. I did introduce the almond scented wood floor cleaner to our product arsenal- and it changed our lives. I will cherish every cleaning day!!

I have wanted to try out Method products for quite awhile...
I am a recently single mom to a chemically sensitive severely autistic son and "regular" cleaning products simply can't be allowed in our home. With an almost 4 year old son, a 12 year old daughter, 3 cats, and a dog, there is ALWAYS plenty to clean in our small 1950's cottage. Unfortunately, due to the challenges of finding good and safe products (not to mention the time to clean as a single mom), sometimes things aren't quite up to par. I honestly can't afford to try large amounts of different products at once to find out what works and what doesn't. This would give me that opportunity.
So, I would LOVE to try these out. And, I promise to give a stupendous review/critique in return!

It's fun even waxing the rich wood surfaces. Don't get me started... pick me!

you know how people window shop? i was never really a fan of that jazz (and shopping in general) but i have a creepy habit of gravitating towards the cleaning aisle to stare at the method products when i'm in target. i get kind of embarrassed when people are in the same aisle and i'm ogling the omop like it's the most crescent fresh thing i've seen in a long while. i have since extended my love to the soaps aisle to stare at the perfectly squared delightful little products called bloq. it's getting to be a problem. if i get the gift basket and try out all of the method products, i may be able to bring my slightly stalkerish flirtation to a respectable clean reality.

In two-and-a-half-weeks-approximately, I will be heading back to a charming, yet cramped, college apartment. And as much as I love and adore the technical geniuses who go to my school who are always glad to help when moving heavy boxs or solve a difficult equation, the thought of ever actually cleaning the communal areas in the apartment never seems to occur to the boys who live in them for the summer. Probably because my school hires a cleaning service for the boys' dorms during the school year, and they assume it magically stays nice and fresh.
So when my three friends and I come back in the end of August, we have to degunk the apartment of monthes of torture at the boys' hands before any of our stuff can actually be brought across the threshold.
Cleaning products = life savers. And since all of us apartment mates are environmentally conscious (the delicious scents have nothing to do with it), we love Method products. So please save our lives and pocketbooks and choose us to win (I'm not ashamed to beg).

I love Method products. I love how they are safe and odorless and how they take my husband's dirty fingerprints off our pale pink walls. I love how the new MOP cleaned up my 1930s era hardwood floors with ease. I have not, however, tried all of the products and I'd love to. Money is tight right now and Method is tricky to find. I have a BYOcocktail party coming up and need to do some serious cleaning.

I've been a terrible slob my entire life. Oscar on the odd couple has nothing on me. It's true, more often than not I can't see my hardwood floors and my guest room has become known as 'The Pit of Despair"
However, I've turned over a new leaf and my little craftsman bungalow has been transformed. For over 90 days I've not only cleaned daily, but hosted house guests! Hell, I've had dinner parties and cooked in my kitchen. My sink is clean and white, my sheets are washed, even the frickin windows are sans smudges! It has not been easy and it hasn't been fun. Do I deserve a leg up? Do I deserve a fabulous basket of marvevlous Method home products? Hell yes! That and a frickin parade.

ECO FRIENDLY ECO CONSCIENCE
I have become more aware of the ingredients not only in the food that I eat, but also the products I use. When it comes to home cleaning I always look for products that is safe for my family and safe for the environment. Whats equally important is the thinking behind the brand that produces safe products for me and my family. Their committment to the environment and community.
The Method brand has brought eco-friendly products to everyone. Their simple packaging has brought that cool-hip vibe to an important concern for all of us...saving the environment...save the world. I love using Method products and will continue to do so....of course having a basketfull of Method goodies will be über cool too.

I love to tell everyone what I think. This would give me a great outlet.
*Method* will make me feel better that I'm not ingesting additional chemicals. Oh yes, I plan on ingesting it. I lick my fingers a lot when I eat finger foods. I also follow the rule of picking food that falls onto my floor and eating it (five seconds, right?) Then a quick wipe of the counter and floor that I just slobbed over - my messy eating habits will remain a secret.
Unless Method doesn't work so great - you'll find out in my review.

The timing of this giveaway could hardly be more perfect - I just had a conversation earlier this week with my husband, who's been buying conventional cleaning products, about how we need to do a complete cleaning product overhaul in our house (we've got two kids under three crawling around, and I get a knot in my stomach every time the flourescent green Mr. Clean finds its way out of its locked cabinet in the garage to pay us a visit). I work in environmental consulting, so I'm present to all the dangers of traditional chemical cleaners, but I'm also up against someone who doesn't believe they will work well enough to clean the mess of our family (the aforementioned kids, plus two large dogs, two cats, and myriad visitors - yes, it's truly a zoo). I've bought Method products for the areas I clean most often, but have never tried their bathroom or floor products. I would LOVE to do a comprehensive test so could win over my husband and start fresh using all Method for everything.
(In other words, "Pick Me! Pick Me!!")

Why should we win? My husband and I just moved to LA (West Coast in the house!) from NYC and we are in such need of fantastic home-grooming right now (I don't say housekeeping, because anyone can keep, but we groom). Our furniture will be arriving early next week, and it would be mind-blowing if we could get our new apt in tip-top shape to make our new life even more polished. We are huge fans of Method products, particularly the wood furniture polish and cloth, and got everyone in Brooklyn hooked on it. I'm also a big fan of using materials that aren't completely horrible for the enviroment, and Method fits the bill. We're really a nice young couple who could use a "clean" break! Please, please consider us for the gift basket - and customers for life!

I have a boyfriend. He just moved into my (formerly) tidy apartment. This is a new development for me, because I'm the perpetually single young professional woman (you're all familiar with me, I'm sure). I've spent years at a time being single, and I've never actually lived with a man - other than my male parent, that is, who was much better at cleaning up his own messes.
The sights that greet me when I come home from work would previously have given me an aneurysm. I am now familiar with the cementing properties of mud dried onto entryway tile, stubble in the bathroom sink, and what-the-heck-is-that dried, cooked and crusted onto my previously sparkling OVEN??! (At least he cooks, right?)
I've been trying to live a greener lifestyle. My apartment is energy efficient, I have furniture that was built from renewable resources and the new boyfriend has already been trained to unplug things when he's done using them.
I also have a puppy. Interestingly enough, she's tidier than the boyfriend. However, her presence seriously complicates things when it comes to cleaning. I've already begun using organic flea treatments and shampoos, but my cleaning products scare the bejeesus out of me.
The Method products look so inviting, and the fact that they're green, safe to use around the house (and thus, around the puppy and boyfriend, both of whom spend inordinate amounts of time rolling around on the floor) and they supposedly smell terrific makes me seriously want to try them. Unfortunately, as most things go, I'm always strapped for cash, so I tend to bypass that aisle when I go to the grocery.
If I am chosen, I'll review not only the cleaning power of the products, but their scent, the puppy's reaction to them and whether or not I was able to talk the boyfriend into cleaning up whatever that stuff is on the bathroom floor (I'm not touching it).
Thanks!

Now, I could leave an extended comment detailing how I am an excellent review-writer, or that I have been using method products for some time...but I won't. I will simply state that I am a college student, and my apartment is nothing short of filthy after about a week of "life" (some would argue that college is not 'life' but in fact some sort of fantasy land--with which I agree more and more) and said circumstances would certainly put these Method products to the test.
Give me a reason and the accoutrements necessary to clean this 'sty!

I have three reasons why I should be the winner:
1. Renovation: our apartment is in the midst of a gut kitchen and partial bathroom renovation that is so bad that we had to evacuate to the in-laws. It is prime for a total top to bottom cleaning.
2. OCD: I have a touch of OCD and therefore would use said products in the most effective manner. Unlike many NYers, I actually do my own cleaning.
3. Skeptical: I have only recently begun testing Method products and am thus far skeptical of the claims. Convince me!

Dear Method Give-awayers,
I have three cats. Yes, three cats. And, well, they're messy. Beyond just throwing large keggers and having their catty friends over at all hours of the day, they also throw up, a lot. They do this all over various surfaces that need cleaning. Method cleaning. They also do other things all over various surfaces of my house. And I've found that nothing works better than they cucumber melon all surface spray.
I also seem to have a bathroom (windowless and fanless) that is remarkably adept at growing mold all on it's very own. And nothing beats the Ylang Ylang shower spray for beating back the mold gods. Additionally, my bathroom smells like an english garden in spring (or some equally lightly floral nirvana).
I'm also a fan of a variety of other Method products and would be happy to expound on their virtues, and in a very few cases, some flaws (everyone's got 'em, even Method). If you choose me to do your review, I promise I won't bring up the cats throwing up (unless you want me to, of course).
Best regards,
the cat lady whose house smells like heaven, and not like cats

It's the first time I'm living in my own apartment, and I've resolved to live as green as I can manage - which, giving the state of recycling here in Chicago, inevitably involves extra effort. Oh, AT, please give this to me. I am a fairly-recently single young twenty-something living in a petite apartment in Chicago. I work full-time, but also freelance photography on the side, which has left me with a jam packed schedule and very little time for keeping my formerly lovely abode clean and tidy. Essentially, while maintaining the appearance of a colourful, put-together, artsy girl to the rest of the world, my apartment has somehow devolved into a state of a nightmare bachelor apartment (and let's not even assess the fridge!). I was so pleased to have so many compliments on my apartment during the SCC, and I would love to test out these Method products to see if they can truly whip my apartment back into a showcase-worthy state!

With a fresh spin on cleaning in their ad campaign(s) and no animal testing, the line is already appealing. I just installed FLOR tiles in my basement (had to rip out old flooring due to a flood), and I need to keep them tidy. I have dirty grout in my bathroom, and since they're the original tiles, I want to gently restore them to white. I have original 1953 linoleum in my kitchen, and want to mop without harsh chemicals so it lasts another 50 years. I have a giant knoll wood conference table (10 bucks!) that shows its age in scratches, and I'd love to help it along with the wood products. I cook at least 10 meals a week and the dishes quickly add up, so I'd be happy to test the dish soap. I'm having 7 yards of bark delivered to my house this afternoon, and after shoveling all of it, I will need some hand soap. I have the most devoted and lovely boston terrier, but even with weekly baths, he can be a little fragrant, so I'm dreaming of the aroma ring.

I am just coming around to being eco-friendly in my home. I am slow, I guess. I also have has some new allergy to harsh chemicals and fragrances. But I am at a loss as to which products to switch to, and as much as I like cleaning with vinegar and baking soda, I miss the convenience factor of a spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner. I want to find something that will make my stove shiny! I grew up in a house with a maniacal cleaning lady - my mom - and everything I know about cleaning, I learned from her, including which old fashioned products to use. I would love to find a new brand that won't make me miss my old stand-by products that are all I really know. Maybe I can convince her to switch over too! She wants to be environmentally friendly, but even more so, she wants a squeaky clean house.
Also, I just bought my condo in Chicago and to be honest it would be nice to get a few things for free and it needs a good cleaning!

My wife and I fixed up an old apartment last year right after we got hitched. She decided to keep it clean the natural way, with strictly basic ingredients like baking soda and vinegar. She promised the smell goes away quickly and you "get used to it." But sorry honey, vinegar still triggers my gag reflex! Today we're pregnant in our second trimester and no sign of some awful morning sickness going away. Needless to say the apt. is severely lagging behind in cleanliness, and I'm going to have to get out the mop soon and clean this dirty beast myself. I've been staying clear of that wretched cleaning bucket for fear of joining my poor (but lovely and beautiful) wife with her daily disgorging. If there's one product she'd be proud of, its probably Method with its environmentally friendly ingredients and of course safe for our new baby. What would really make her happy is if I can get our place clean. I'm ready to put Method to the test, so send it out and you'll get a thorough and objective review.

I think I should win the Method home products because from my experience with Method products... they're garbage (how funny that you would be giving them away in a garbage can.) I like the bottle but that really doesn't matter much when the glass cleaner leaves streaks on your windows and the tub cleaner wont fight soap scum. I should win because I'd love to put the rest of their products up to the test but would never be willing to pay for them.

My sister has been a big environmentalist since before it was cool to be so. I, however, had one bad experience with Organic canned soup years ago and couldn't understand how she could do it. Slowly but surely I have warmed to the idea, and now that I have lived with my sister for the past 2 years we are full supporters of environmentally-friendly cleaning products (and yes, I now happily eat organic food).
The Method products not only clean well and smell good, but they look great on the shelf (which is important since we have minimal storage to hide stuff away). I would absolutely love to have this gift basket to (1) prove to my sister that she was truly successful in converting her skeptical younger sister to an environmentally-conscientious member of society, (2) to help keep our turn-of-the-century apartment actually clean and (3) to help spread the word about the great environmentally-friendly products that my sister so patiently shared with me.
