Gailan Ngan Pottery

You might say Vancouver-based ceramicist Gailan Ngan has clay in her blood - her father Wayne Ngan is also a noted ceramicist, and she started her career working as his assistant. Since then she's branched off into her own unique style of work that combines form, function, and a bit of an angle...

We mean that literally. Ngan's signature "wobble pots" rock gently, coming to rest just a bit off-center. We love the way they look in a group, but one could be just as appealing with a few buds as a slightly skewed vase. The rest of her line has similar perfect imperfections, giving each piece a one-of-a-kind look and handmade feel. Find out more about Gailan Ngan and her work here.

Beautiful work - I've often kicked myself for not buying one of Wayne's pots way back.
