Just what your cotton balls and Q-tips need to stay clean, visible, and stylishly organized: genuine
pyrex canisters, made from gleaming, break-resistant borosilicate glass and stainless steel.
The canisters can be hard to find at scientific surplus stores that sell lab glass, but Portland's Canoe makes it easy (and hygienic): a set of three is $16.
Seeing those jars brought be back to being a kid and getting booster shots from the pediatrician. There was one each for the cotton balls, tongue depressors and gauze pads. I'd be too freaked to have them in my own house...but they do look nice.

Correction, it looks like the canisters at Canoe only come in 48 oz and 32 oz. The $16 canister is for the 32 oz.But I have been looking for canisters like these for a LONG time. Thanks!

I love the look of these stainless steel canisters a la physician style! Elegantly matches their shiny, contoured swivel stool... doctors can have great taste (;
