Sweets Bowls & Plates from Crate and Barrel

We love browsing through the section over at the Crate and Barrel website. It helps gives us inspiration. Yesterday we fell in love with these Sweets bowls and plates on the ice cream parlor trend page. We like them so much that we just might buy them (or look for something similar at Sunday's Antiques by the Bay!).

These bowls have been marked down from $8.95 to $4.95 each.

And these plates have the same price.

these colors are bliss!

as an aside, i've only recently discovered AT and was wondering if anyone would steer me towards blogs or sites geared specifically toward design and organization for small apartments/ studios. i'll be moving into a small 300sqft place in the bay area soon and i'd love some inspiration.

I don't like ice cream. And I hate cute. Also anything specifically marketed as a trend. But I love the soft colors of these little dishes.

They remind me of Lu-Ray Pastels, the depression-era dishes whose subtle, low-key palette & satiny finish were like a [mild] rebuke to the swaggering colors & slick glaze of FiestaWare.
