This is not the sort of rug we would expect to love quite so much...but we do! The design is an aerial view of a suburban-style neighborhood, and is bold, vibrant, and a little bit busy. Perhaps it is because we are currently in a space that is very white and minimally decorated, but we could really envision this rug in our own home!
The pattern of homes in a row becomes sort of abstract from afar, but upon closer inspection reveals a voyeuristic vantage point of a neighborhood. We especially love the room view that Flor has created for treatment of this pattern. The modern black accents, and graphic black and white artwork set the rug off nicely.
We realize this rug won't be for everyone, but the Be My Neighbor kit from Flor has definitely skyrocketed to the top of our wish list!
I love it too, and I wouldn't have thought so either.

FLOR had better be careful -- Woody Allen will sue your ass!

Flor has fantastic products, and I'm continually surprised by their range and price points. Just as importantly, the people behind the scenes at Flor are creative, passionate and friendly. I had the pleasure to attend a Flor catalog photo shoot at a friend's home. While my friends were initially skeptical about how carpet tiles would look in their home, the Flor team's selection made them quick converts.
Incidentally, the above photo was taken at Leo Designs co-founder Stephanie Wirth's home. More photos of Wirth's home can be seen on Strange Closets:

The floor is okay but I LOVE that chair!

I was just considering either this for my kitchen floor, especially since the pattern would help hide spills.

I would want this if I could have a picture of MY neighborhood. But some random suburb? Nah.

Much nicer that that awful 'Find a Face' one recently posted.

i surprisingly like this. probably because every time i fly, my eyes are glued to the window looking at little houses and counting tiny swimming pools from above. i wouldn't mind this in the right setting...

I feel that the Weeds theme song would flood into my mind everytime I would step on this rug.
