Good Finds: Peter's Scavenger Lawyer's Bookcase

Nothing makes us happier than to play matchmaker to some treasure up for grabs and an empty apartment or home. Remember our friends over at the Cactus Jungle? We got a note from them, a few days after we featured their fantastic store, to thank us for hooking them up with some Scavenger goodness...read about their find after the jump.

We've had the bookcase at home for 10 years, but then we opened the nursery and needed a bookcase that closes up since we're an outdoor store. So we took one of the metal cases off, leaving 3 at home, and used it at the store. However, of course, we really wanted our bookcase back at home, and have been looking for this type of "Lawyer's Bookcase" ever since, hoping to find a whole stack, but even one would be good. Then only a couple days after you featured Cactus Jungle on Apartment Therapy, you featured a Craigslist posting of this exact case! Woohoo! We bought it and got our old one back home. Thanks Apartment Therapy!

I love these steel barrister bookcases, and have 3 of them. This ebay seller has them available fairly often... sometimes in white too.

Why is this called a lawyer's book case?
