Good Finds: Victoria's Chairs and Rug

1victoriacl8-23.jpg

Earlier this week Victoria emailed us: "I got some new craigslist finds this weekend and updated the living room. I got this flokati 5'x8' rug and the two mid-century leatherette chairs all for $150! I rearranged things (I hated my TV in the living room!) a bit as well...."

(See more photos below the jump.)

Send us photos of your find!

Great find on the chairs and rug! But now I think you have way too many chairs in the living room. The armchair may need to go. :(

Oh, what scores! I love the chairs.

I'm SO lusting after those chairs -- great score!

I know - it feels like mega-chairs! I'm working on gleaning...

hi--great CL scores but i do agree that you should edit a bit. i wonder if the armchair/chaise would work better in your bedroom? i noticed that the wickery chairs came from there. i really liked when your sofa was facing the fireplace in the old arrangement--might be better to create a conversation area with the couch and 2 new chairs only.

i really like your place though--i remember when AT originally posted your photos i showed them to my boyfriend. i was like, "can our apartment look like this??"

Great new chairs! I love your ability to use white as a color, so few people have a mastery of this skill.

You have such a good eye. Love your place. Wish you could sprinkle some of your fairy dust here ;-)

what a great apartment! for what it's worth, i don't think there are too many chairs in that room...all the better for when you have lots of people over....

I think I may come up with a new floor plan to help the chair-abuse problem as I layed in bed last night long after midnight. (I do this often and I wish I would stop!). I'd have moved things around last night (OCD) if not for waking my downstairs neighbor. So I imagine I'll be rearranging before bedtime tonight. Stand by...

victoria. i love the new rug and chairs but i see you are itching for a solution to what you see as the new arrangement not being just quite right. my thoughts for what they're worth. since the tv appears tobe out of the room return the sofa across from the fireplace, but slightly closer to the wall, more directly in front of the fireplace. then center the new rug between the fireplace and the sofa. now the new chairs can be either where the sofa was or where they are now but moved into the line of the sofa. i think freeing up the white upholstered chair in the window will return the room to the more calming feel you're going for. of course you are my idol as far as placement goes so you can ignore my ideas and come up with something else totally amazing.

Obi - guess what I did last night?

Your exact suggested layout. The sofa is back facing the fireplace and the two new chairs are against the wall with the mini mid-century table between them, and Rico Suave above. See - YOU are an idol! I'll be posting an updated pic on the blog soon.

Thanks!

Can't wait to see Obi's suggested arrangement on your blog.

I really admire you visual types. My head hurts just trying to visualize the new furniture arrangement ;-)
