To some of us tea towels might seem more fancy than they actually are. In general they are used to dry dishes, but they could also be spread over a tea tray or used to cover warm bread and pastry to prevent heat loss.
They are rarely something that we pay attention to, but in general we use them almost everyday. We rarely run the dishwasher, so the towels become very useful and help limit the paper towel usage. Our vintage set is great, but embarrassing when we have guests over for dinner. It has been abused for many years now and we would love to replace it with something new. Recently we came across the new designs from Flock Home, Bay Area based company, and we love their selection of the tea towels, napkins, pillow shams, and more. Jump below for a closer look.

This is a perfect example of my love/hate relationship with tea towels.
I love pretty ones like these, but I have a very tough time justifying spending $12 on a single tea towel that's just going to be beat to heck drying dishes.

I use tea towels often to decorate my kitchen and I love the designs, but in times of economic crisis I am not willed to spend that much on a towel. I also think that 90 bucks is too much for a cushion...
So I check all the wonderfull handprinted fabrics Etsy is offering and sew them for myself!

I often find beautiful things like these hard to justify on my budget....however, I'll often spend money on gifts that I would love to buy for myself. These are great gift material! I love this collection.
