There are dozens of places in SF to get Asian screens - just take a walk through any shopping district in town and you'll see a shop or two.

Check out Genji Antiques in Japantown: http://www.genjiantiques.com ... they usually have a fair variety of screens. I believe there are a couple of other stores in Japantown that may have them, too, like the amazing hardware store.

If you are interested in the real thing, try Shen's Gallery in Santa Cruz. They have a huge collection of original architectural items from China, as well as furniture and art pieces. It's also a fun place to hang out, and they will serve you some excellent tea while you browse.

For example, look at their collection of windows, which could possibly be used for screens: http://www.antiquesforliving.com/main.html

I bought my shoji screen at homedecorators.com. They're not known for quality, but mine has lasted for 5 years so far, and I love it.
