Q- I have a question that has been driving me a bit batty. I have been looking for a comfortable couch for lounging and TV watching for my living room (that is at least a little stylish). Because I have two black cats, things get messy, so I either need something with a slipcover or something grey. I think I *may* have found a comfortable couch...
...in CB2's slipcovered (creamy white) "Movie Sofa", but I can't picture what kind of furniture could accompany it since it's fairly low to the ground. I need a loveseat and possibly an ottoman. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help you can divulge!!

Editor- Two black cats and a white couch seems risky, but if you're sure, we'll open it up to the crowd for suggestions on what to accompany it...please share your suggestions with Lilah in the comments below - thanks!
If you need grey/black, but it's only available in white, you could always die the slipcover. I did this with an IKEA couch a few years ago and was pretty impressed with how well the black came out and held up.

I would get one of those vintage chrome tubular loveseats which are always set low and a round ottoman. West Elm had some cool ones recently...

Maybe look for furniture on wooden legs that can be cut down? Not sure how well that would work, though. I vote DIY platform seating on casters. Maybe?

Matsayswhat:
did you pay someone to dye it or did you do it yourself? If it's the latter, can you tell me what product you used? I need to do the exact same thing.

hey it's a plain white sofa, anything will go with it. I really like its simple design. Don't know what your style/budget is but I think a couple barcelona chairs would look good with it, or look at the twin-sleeper lounge chair also at CB2 (can't remember it's official name) There are lot's of low coffe table and ottomon options everywhere. Have you been to EQ3 or Room and Board?

gagabrielle-
I did it myself using plain old RIT die that can be found at most craft and/or fabric stores. A lot of instructions I read online said to use salt or included special instructions, but really all I did was by $20 of black die, put a bunch of water in a clean 35 gallon plastic bin I had, mix in the die and add the slipcover. I let it soak for a day or so, emptied the water by drilling a hole in the bottom of the bin, then when I was confident most of the liquid was out of it I very carefully transferred the slipcover to my washing machine and washed it a few times.
With the exception of a few spots that came out dark gray instead of black, it worked awesome. And really you can only see the imperfections of you look for them. The color has stayed fast and never rubbed off on walls or clothing, and I've washed the cover since and while the color lightened a little, it's held tight.
Just make sure you wear gloves and watch the stray drips, that stuff stains EVERYTHING! :)

The salt is to set the colors. We used it with tie dye back in the day
