Good Questions: Can You Recommend a Handyman?

8-13-handyman.jpgDear AT,

I'm very unhappy with my current handyman (handyperson?), and I desperately need someone who's good and reliable to do a bunch of projects around my house, as well as some of my rental properties. Is there any chance you know of anyone you can recommend on the Peninsula (or who will come to the Peninsula)?

Thanks!

Lisa R.

Lisa R.,

We don't. But we think perhaps Angie's List could help.

We've also heard of Mr. Handyman and Handyman Connection.

When AT:NY posed the same question, they had some handymen respond. We hope it works here, too.

Another idea is to ask at your local hardware store.

Anyone else?

I've used Alec Keit of R&R Handywork - the Rs stand for reasonable and reliable. I've been happy with his work - and so have the other people I've recommended him to. (I've gotten lovely thank you notes for sending him their way.) He's based in Pacifica - so it depends where on the peninsula you are as to whether you're in his range.
