Good Questions: How Can I Learn About Feng Shui?

3-12-goodq.jpgHi AT,

I've been interested in feng shui for a while now; however, I really don't know anything at all about it. Can you recommend a place for me to start. . .

Thank you,

Carrie

Carrie,

Maxwell recommends Karen Kingston's Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui -- you can read more about it here.

We also like Karen Rauch Carter's funny Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life. And for a really quick and easy way to start, try Skye Alexander's 10-Minute Feng Shui or 10-Minute Feng Shui Room-by-Room.

And don't forget to read our Top 10: Easy Feng Shui Tips for the Bathroom, Top 10: Easy Feng Shui Tips for the Kitchen, and Top 10: Easy Feng Shui Tips for Kids' Bedrooms.

Anyone else have any suggestions for Carrie?

I like The Western Guide to Feng Shui, by Terah Kathryn Collins.

I would also suggest (at some point - maybe not to start) working with a Feng Shui consultant. I worked with Shannon Del Vecchio
(http://www.tranquilspaces.com/c_shannon1.html) and even though I had read about Feng Shui, working with someone who really knows her stuff was very enlightening - and made a huge difference in my space.

Check out the Lilian Too books. They have some good advice & hilarious clip art. :)
