apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Good Questions: Identify this Desk?

deskq012809.jpgPhil sent us an email: I came across this picture in a FLOR catalog. They use very nice furniture to showcase the carpet that they sell. The desk is gorgeous I would like to buy a similar desk. Can you help me find the name / designer of this desk? Where can I buy it?

Flor has great furniture in their catalog, I've wondered where I can find the sources...

Wow! That looks a lot like the table I built for our breakfast nook:

Total cost to build my table was proably about $100 (not counting the time it took). I found the base online at a table parts supplier and built the wood top. Not sure this is helpful to you, but DIY can save you big $$$ if you're so inclined...(BTW - I'm not a pro when it comes to building stuff, so if I can do it i assume most people can too...)

That looks to me like a Mockett base...

If not, you could achieve a very similar look.

looks like a custom sized (54"sq.?) wood top set on a standard base. Try Mockett or Falcon.

Easy I have specified a table like that in then past-
Go to West Coast Industries- the have a similar base and you can spec the top in the size and finish you want as long as the top is not too big or small for the base-
