According to Justin, he went the "you snooze, you lose" rout on this table. He writes: I found this table on CB2.com (it's the Monacle Side Table) and apparently waited too long to buy it and now it's gone. I was wondering if anybody could tell me where to find something similar. I really liked the clear top and the chrome base, but the style is more-so what I am going for. Any help would be much appreciated.

I bought the floor sample of a couple planters at the LA CB2. I'm sure if they have one in store, they will sell it to you.

be careful with some of those suggestions-- a couple are over 36" in diameter which is Not a side table!
the style is different in this one, but it has the chrome and glass top and is quite affordable:

Also, about the Adesso version (called the Coronet), mentioned by the first poster (and also available at Amazon, with delivery in 1 or 2 months!!!): the base is not shiny chrome. Brushed finish might please you, but I question whether it's true metal cuz there's also a black base available, and it's described as PVC. Very weird.

Great table, sorry it was gone before you could buy it! I was looking for a similar modern table so when I saw your post, I knew I had to share my findings. I could check out this modern coffee table from BoConcept. They have a good variety and several side tables to match the style and aesthetic you were going for. Hope this helps, good luck!

just came across this version that is Very similar to the original table, and even has a tempered glass top (whereas it looks like the original was just plexiglas.)
and it's only $99!
