Good Questions: Modern Blanket Rack?

goodq6-12.jpgDear San Francisco AT,

Where can i find the blanket rack with the modern look? I am planning to use it as a cloth rack for jeans ( okay, i'm just lazy to fold them back to the closet, and want them to be ready instead of searching through my messy closet at 7 am. in the morning. . dahh lazy girl) So far i can find only the traditional style plus expensive price tag.

thanks a lot. and i promise, i promise to clean my closet this weekend ;)

Dear Varina,

We ran into the same problem -- the only blanket racks we found were ultra-traditional. The May issue of the British Elle Decoration suggested hanging clothes from hooks on a wall-mounted kitchen rack like this one from Ikea, but we also came up with a few towel racks and coat racks that might work for you:

Zanotta Gio Towel Rack - Unica Home
Ninix Teak Towel Rack - Unica Home
Towel Ladder - Stacks and Stacks
Contemporary Towel Stand - Home Decorators Collection
Chrome Towel Valet - Home Focus Catalog

(Another option is to use a coat rack. Keep an eye out for our Top 10 Coat Racks one day soon.)

Anybody else?

If towel racks work for you, here are two from HOLD EVERYTHING. They're on sale and I *think* they are an addt'l 25% off...

Linens 'n Things also has a a very modern, chrome, three tier towel rack that looks much more expensive than it actually is. I saw it at some friends' home but you can find it on LnT's website. It really looks great and expensive but doesn't cost much.

JenPDX,

You won't believe how much time I spent searching for that chrome one you linked to! I knew I'd seen it somewhere but for some reason Hold Everything slipped my mind. AT readers are the best.
