Good Questions: Modern Door Knobs in San Francisco?

2006_12_11_knob.jpgHi AT,

Any ideas where I can buy door knobs in San Francisco? I've tried Home Depot, but my apartment is thoroughly modern. Help!

Look for commercial door knobs. I've seen them at Lowes.

Bauerware on 17th Street at Noe has the best cabinet hardware...I would think they'd carry knobs as well. Don's Lock on Mission (at Valencia) also has a wide selection.

You might also try eBay. I replaced all the doornobs, henges and other hardware in my house -- all from eBay sellers. All were at a fraction of the price I would have paid at a hardware store or online. All were new, in original packaging and good brand names.
