AT,
I'm moving into a new apartment with a large, lovely patio. However, I have no outdoor furniture! My budget is tight, but I really want to get something modern and fun... probably a bistro set.
I'm desperately seeking a modern, outdoor retreat to enjoy during these warm days. Please help!
Mia

Ikea has some cute outdoor stuff. And now is the time of year for yard sales! Some mismatched chairs & a can of spray paint can take you far.

I'd say go w/ a pair of Bellini Chairs, or even Supernatural chairs from highbrowfurniture.com or dwr, then pair them w/ a beat-up cheap wood table for contrast. All in all, a more unique set-up, and probably the same cost as a new bistro set when it's all said and done...

I seriously considered that Thomas O'Brien set last summer, but decided against it after reading all the negative feedback on the Target site regarding the set. People had problems with it rusting right away. Still cute though...

Bertoia chairs hold up pretty well in the elements, or at least mine have. But what table to pair with them -- now that is the question.

I have a pair of the world market bistro chairs in light blue and am quite impressed by them. Reasonably comfortable (for all metal chairs) and sturdy. The nice part is that the chairs fold for storage, although they don't fold completely flat.

can people post pics of their outdoor set up? I'm looking for inspiration.
