Good Questions: Non-Slip Bathtub Appliques?

3-14-bathappliques.jpgDear AT,

I can't find those sticky things you put on the bottom of your bathtub so that you don't slip and fall. Even Bed Bath & Beyond doesn't have them anymore. Help!

Thanks,

LJ

LJ,

Well, that was more difficult than we thought it would be! But we finally found quite a few at Amazon, including these Groovy Non-Slip Bath Appliques.

We also found some non-slip bathtub tread strips at Dynamic-Living.com and BedBathStore.

Anyone else?

If you're in the city, Cole Hardware carries a variety of cute ones. I go to the one on Polk St., and the one in Cole Valley is even better.

Also important...
How do you get them off? We have really old ones from a previous tenant, and they're kind of gross looking now.

ideas?

Goo Off. Seriously, that's what it's called.

I used a combination of Simple Green, baking soda, and elbow grease to get the 30-year-old stickers off the bottom of my tub.
