Good Questions: Professional Organizers?

9-11-good q.jpgHi there,

I live in Mountain View and would love to know if anyone out there has had good experiences with professional organizers? (e.g, closets, garages, making small spaces more efficient) What is the going rate?

Karen

Try napo.net to find a professional organizer in your area. I have a good friend that does it here in Sacramento, but I'm unsure of her rates.

I'm just getting started with my professional organizing business so I've definitely been doing some research. You should certainly check out napo.net like Mimi said. The rates can be anywhere from $40 to $125 per hour but $60-75 per hour is standard for a good professional. I'd call and ask for references and make sure they have satisfied clients. Good luck!

check out yelp too. there are some listings for companies in san francisco, that may serve the rest of the bay area too.

I've been thinking about starting my own professional organizing business as well...but I just don't have the time or resources yet. napo.net is the place I know of to find people as well--I've tried posting on craigslist, but since I don't have a portfolio or previous clients, strangers are reluctant to sign me up. I'm starting with my own apartment and my boyfriend's...if you have trouble finding someone affordable, I might be able to help you out. :)

Anyway, that's my input.
