Hi AT,
This doesn't have to do with my apartment, but it is a decor question...I'm having my wedding at a beautiful location (Cecil Green in Vancouver, BC), but the chairs that they offer are just awful. I can't afford to rent new chairs, but I also don't like the options I've seen for chair covers...too much like halloween ghost costumes, a lot of flowing material...does anyone have a good alternative to cover these green reception chairs?
Thanks!
Eva

I had the same dilemma for my wedding. The chairs were a bright floral print that didn't match the rest of my wedding design.
I was able to rent through the mail chair covers that covered only the back of the chair (not the seat) and draped down to the floor in the back. They created the clean, uniform look that I wanted, without too much extra fabric. I don't remember which company I used, but the whole thing went smoothly. I will try to figure out which company I used and let you know. I know I found the company online. Good luck!

Someone else will likely have tackled this very same problem so I'd encourage you to call ALL the approved service providers for your site. Even those you think may not have an answer, plus all the caterers, event planners, party rentals (whether you're contracting with them for your event or not). Too I'd tour the local party & linen rental companies because, in my area, each seems to offer something different. Then again you might consider using those Halloween-costume-like slipcovers, and experimenting with decoratively pinning & tucking them, even a well placed gather with the extra fabric tied into a knot can look more tailored and interesting.
Good luck!

My advice? Make sure that your dress is more interesting than the chairs. No one will care about hte chairs!
