I like the chocolate brown suggestion. Pink would be too midwest grandma in my opinion. Grey, khaki, or white could also work, but those might be more boring. Could also do a robin's egg blue.

I usually hate pink and green, but in this case, I think a subtle, muted pink could be nice.

I don't remember if it makes a room look smaller to have dark paint on the walls, but chocolate brown is a much better choice than pink in my opinion. What about getting another shade of green and play with various shades of green in the room?

Hmm... I used to have the opposite problem: A pink sink, but the landlord had painted the walls a soft green, which ended up making the sink look peach. When it was remodeled I was shocked to see how pink the sink really was! What a difference contrasting colors really make.

I think it would be bold to have pink walls everywhere, but pretty fun.

grey or chocolate brown are win-win, but i actually had the same problem in my sister's house. green sink AND bathtub. i chose a beautiful almost jade green and it looked surprisingly great! just find a paint chip that matches your sink and go two or three shades darker to see what it would look like.

I am with the soft green... or pale taupe, with chocolate, green and pink accents.

I definitely think you should go with the exact same color green for the walls so that the sink seems like it is sort of an organic part of the room. You could accent it with some whites (or pinks), maybe in the realm of picture frames?

Definitely pink out of pink or brown- you might want to keep in mind, though, that if this is a bathroom where you get ready in the morning, the colour of the paint could affect how you perceive how you look, as the colour will reflect on your skin tone. While I think a coordinating green would be nice, green is one of those colours that might not work if anyone is doing their makeup in there.

The pink and green could be fun if you play up the pale gold accents- you seem to have a cool mirror above there so I would get a towel bar and some little accessories that accent it, maybe some really retro stuff from the era of your sink to accent it, if gold is your style; or else I would replace the mirror with something a little more clean lined and simple, like your towel bar, and everything else to coordinate. I think a bathroom is too small a place to have lots of competing visuals or themes going on.

I would keep it light if the bathroom is tiny.

I'd do blue or grey. Pink would be a little ice cream parlor, but if that's what you want, go for it! Green tends to make people look sickly, so if you actually get ready in this bathroom, I'd avoid that...

I think the salmon pink in the main photo would work but in general I'm not a big pink fan.

I personally would go for a "organic-natural-zen-spa" palette - deep slate gray towels, natural linen colors with texture the walls, bamboo accents, that sort of thing.

I would do a light grey or lighter green, I think a darker sink would look nice with light walls.

Brown walls in the bathroom = poo.

A pale terracotta, maybe? Or cantaloupe? Certain shades of yellow might work too.

My other choice would be slate gray. I think chocolate brown would work, but as someone else said, it might make a tiny room look even tinier.

Tiffany Blue

I just saw a lovely fabric today that was a combination of this green, a medium grey and white - it looked really nice and fresh.

I'd go find some new towels or curtains that include as close as possible to the exact shade of green in your sink, use one of the colors in the pattern for wall paint, and maybe other colors from the pattern for accessories. (I like this approach for any tricky built-in.)

I would do a light green-tea colour for myself, I think, a paler version of the sink, or a parchment-linen sort of textured sand color.

But of the two options of pink or chocolate I would do pink to keep the space from being too dark.

Restoration Hardware and now BEHR make a color called Silver Sage (which are actually really close in color) The BEHR color doesn;t show up online but is part of a new line in stores called BEHR ultra- grab a swatch next time you are there- It is a beautiful gray that almost looks like a green- but it is so subtle- I love it!!

for those suggesting green walls just remember that all that color reflects onto your skin. green walls will make you look TERRIBLE, basically it seems to suck any pink tones from your skin and leave you looking grey...i had a green bathroom in college, never again.

Pink and brown are good, but what about a muted lavendar?

I love either option - though brown can be very dramatic. If the space is small, I'd go either really light (pink or green) or really dark (brown). And I think the lavender option could be nice too...

I would go with green on green, maybe opt for a deeper shade of the sink for the walls, or a lighter shade, and accessorize with pretty green glass or white pieces in towels, mirrors, shower curtain.

i'd go with a pale almost peachy (skintone) pink or light green grey if there's natural light, if not a biscuit color would be pretty safe.
i have a sink and toilet in the same color in a vintage bath with the original pink tile. it's not awful. does anyone know the name of that green? it's been driving me crazy because i need to order a replacement seat for the toilet and haven't been able to peg the bemis color yet

For me personally, I would paint the wall the exact same color as the sink. It would give it a more modern look and appear as though you planned the sink color.

Check out your local Habitat for Humanity Restore. You might be surprised to find a very affordable sink you could use instead of this, and installing a sink is not a terrible do-it-yourself job.

Otherwise, I think it would be really cool to do a fun cream/pale khaki wide horizontal stripe (12-14 inches). Horizontal stripes will expand the room and draw attention away from the sink, and if you choose a khaki that is the same tone (not same color, but same level of light/dark) as the sink, it will help. Green on the walls will only make you hate the green sink more. The two colors of the stripes should not contrast one another very much--the stripes should be somewhat subtle.

You have my total sympathy, I had the exact same setup until recently and I still have nightmares (my shower and toilet were also green).

The best solution I could come up with was to paint the walls off-white (just a very slightly warmer version of white, not quite cream) - a darker colour was really not an option in the tiny space. Then I put in a dark wood toilet seat and a dark wood framed mirror, and added burgundy towels and a burgundy bath mat (cut in half, because it was so small). If you have room then some dark-wood framed pictures that had strong red/burgundy in them would also help.

It didn't eradicate the green (obviously) but it put it in a greater colour context, so it did stop it being so dominant. It actually looked quite nice.

A cream or a chocolate brown maybe? Something neutral would probably be best.

what about a slightly darker shade of green? i like the green sink... might update the faucet though...

Robin's Egg Blue !!!

Any shade of beige, from a light cream to a dark tan would be great. The sink looks like kind of a sage tone, so if you want a lot of color, terra-cotta would work. Chocolate brown might be too dark. Pink is great, but be sure not to pick anything too bubble-gum. Pale pink or deep rose are great shades.

Until a few weeks ago, I had a green sink (and toilet and tub). I can't tell whether yours is the same shade of green - mine was not avocado but a bit minty, whatever they decided in 1969 - but the room was pink when I moved in, and the pink light reflecting on the green made it look even worse. I chose Benjamin Moore's "Radicchio" for the walls and it looked great. I painted the vanity and ceiling "Natural Cream" (oh so daring).

A pale yellow

Off-white, silvery gray or a soft, pale blue. Please don't paint your bathroom pink! Warm tones might make the sink look greener and bring more attention to it.

I tried to match a light green with black, and various other shades of green, for a monochromatic/black/white theme. A dark dark olive with a light green may be nice (and similar idea to using a chocolate brown).

It looks to me like a jade color. Therefore -- a serene, Chinese theme might be nice. Seagrass wallpaper. Touches of black.

I like a nice cool taupe color with chocolate brown towels and accent towels to match the sink.

I'm going with all the folks who say paint it the same as the sink! Everything else, mirror frame, towels, rugs, accessories, I'd do in white and be done.

I really believe that since the bathroom is already tiny, you can at least make it fun... like a narrow Rectangle at the sink area with a deep purple color, like an eggplant purple. I also see that you have kind of a retro small mirror- I thing the emphasize with the purple would be great to this room... also tr to moderate everything else in this room but keep it within the family- the dramatic family...
