Good Questions: Where to Find these Breakfast Bowls?

bowls010409.JPGA photo and question from Laura: I LOVE your site, I check it multiple times every day. I recently came back from a trip to Buenos Aires and have been searching for leaf-shaped bowls we ate breakfast from every morning...

They are the white leaf shaped bowls, they used 3 of them each morning with breakfast for the bread condiments (theyre filled with chocolate ganache, butter with caramel and cream cheese with ham).

I've tried everything I can think of - and I'd love to find them and share it with your readers as well.

Any ideas on where Laura can track these (or something similar) down?

Caramel butter? Oh, baby!
These are similar in spirit, and would be pretty in a group:

These plates from CB2 are cute:

And pretty affordable. I know they aren't detailed in the same way as your leaf bowl, but they are cute and shaped similarly nonetheless.

I have seen similar at Kamei Restaurant Supply on Clement Street, Inner Richmond is you are in SF. Its a great place to get all kinds of dishes relatively inexpensive. I have something similar that I have on my stove that I mix spices into for cooking and they are cute.

Here is a much simpler version (in a variety of sizes and colors):

LOVE. Any hotel that serves caramel butter and chocolate ganache for breakfast is my kind of joint!

I love it that there's an ashtray on that breakfast table.

You made my day! Well, my night really since it's 11 pm :) But I'm so excited to make this stuff. I'm going to use the TJs whole grain loaf. Happy sigh. I'll report back with pics :)

Thanks, Faith!
