Large Floral Print Upholstery Fabric in Green?
Good Questions

chairq072709.jpgQ:I need some help with an upholstery project. I'm trying to find modern upholstery fabric with a large floral print--something big enough that I can center it if necessary but not have to match it at all the seams. (I like DIY reupholstery, but I know my...

Not sure which shade of green you are going for but here are three gorgeous Thomas Paul prints from Calico Corners:

Also try Marimekko, they have awesome oversized prints.

Be careful. The larger the floral, the more important it is that you match the print. You can get away with less matching in an abstract. But mismatched floral will look choppy and busy rather than sleek and modern. The eye will want to see the complete floral. It will get very consfused looking at bits and pieces.

Are you looking for something like this?

Was purchased on eBay a while back. It's worth checking routinely, I have gotten some great bargains of unused upholstery there.

Good luck.

O wow, I e-mailed this in a couple of weeks ago, and actually found some swatches I liked in the intervening time. I should take a pic tonight and post them just as a fun follow-up. Thanks for the suggestions.

I would choose something from Anna Maria Horner's "Drawing Room" collection. I *love* her fabrics and they are far more affordable than Calico Corner. Just google her name!

You could try Jessica Jones' "Modern Flora" fabrics - the Green Sprig and Green Herb ones might be what you're looking for.

Check out Mod Green Pod:

http://modgreenpod.com/

They don't have a wide selection, but what they do have is very stylish and unique. A few patterns have very large repeats...perfect for a chair. Oh, and they have coordinating, green wallpapers!
