Hi AT:SF, My apartment has a small 'inlet' that I'd like to use as an area for a desk workstation - unfortunately it's only 38" wide and 23"deep, which limits my choices in desks! I saw this desk at Crate & Barrel, but it's a bit out of my price range. Know of anything similar? Thanks,
-Ruth

Where are those huge calendars from?

The West Elm at 41" one doesn't fit w/in Ruth's size restrictions. I'd also be interested in some ideas. Have been considering a custom Parsons table from Room and Board but no drawers and can be $.

The Jay desk from West Elm is smaller and cheaper:

It's 34"l x 21.5"w x 32"h and the desk is on sale for $150.

Oops! I missed the part about the size restrictions. I thought it was just a request for something less expensive. I'll keep looking

world market sold a desk like this about 2 years ago. I don't see it online now, but you may be able to find one on craigslist.

Target also has some smaller, cheaper desks that would fit.

the best part of that calander is that every other month is inverted.. all the odd months are white with black numbers- the even months are black with white letters.
i forget who designed it (i assume stendig) - he was featured in the movie "helvetica"
