SF Good Questions: David's White 3D Flowers?

6-5-white flowers.jpgHi AT:SF, In May during your Small Cool 2008 contest, there was a Northwest finalist, David's Designer Digs. In his bathroom he had these white 3D flowers that I'm obsessed with. I would love to add them to my boring bathroom. Could you please tell me where I could find them or something similar? Thanks!

-A.

A.,

David says: I bought them at SF MOMA and they are from Umbra.

I'm pretty sure I saw them at Therapy in the Mission recently - you could call and check with them.

It seems like you could make some similar flowers like this out of a thin stiff plastic or coated paper and just stick 'em on the wall if you're feeling thrifty...

Yep, they were back in stock at Therapy on Valencia Street last weekend. Made by Umbra.
I'm not crafty and didn't think the pricepoint was too high. It would certainly cost me more than $36 in time to try and make myself!

I saw something similar but with white butterflies decorating a shop windo, very pretty... Was thinking about having a go myself with white card.

They remind me of another post on re-nest where the bottoms of clear plastic bottles were used to create a hanging design. http://www.re-nest.com/re-nest/inspiration/plastic-bottle-decor-by-michelle-brand-051677
