Before paying a pro to fix it you may be able to fix it yourself! I just bought a mid-century chair from the original owners and they gave me this link to a store that sells all sorts of replacement straps, webbing and clips for our precious mid-century babies: http://www.fagas.com/newpage8.htm
My chair has the original Expersprings and they are still in excellent condition, but if I ever need new ones I plan on ordering them from this site.
Check it out and good luck!

furniture restoration:
carl's refinishing (carlsrefinishing.com) out of stockton ca., they pick and deliver here in san francisco . this is the company that does the work for x-21, monument on valencia street and the other high end stores on kansas street.. carl's will ask you what kind of work you want done.. mint or just make it look good, and the price range to go with it.
local san francisco.. j & l refinishing corp, 620 alabama st s.f. ca 94110 (415)-826-2505. they did a great job making pretty my dorothy draper chest that the last owner didn't know what they had and trashed it.
the straps you want:
"fagas straps by evans" out of malibu calif. at fagasstraps.com. they carry the rubber straps for danish modern furniture, upholsterer's webbing and the metal grips.
these companies are great... and i want them to stay in business.. so i pass them on.
