Hi AT:SF, I am looking for branches of flowers that light up when plugged in. I saw these branches displayed in a vase in a Sedona, Az. gift shop. Thank you.

Gail,
We think you mean the ones we wrote about here:
• Good Questions: Where Can I Find Lighted Branches?
• Good Questions: Lighted Branches & Wabi-Sabi Teacups-Follow Up
Does anyone know if any of these places still have them in stock (we know Graham & Green does, but they're in the UK)? Or have other suggestions for Gail?

I'm convinced these are an urban decorating myth.
I've seen lots of pretty pictures featuring them...no luck tracking a place down that actually has them in stock.
Somebody please help :)

I saw'em at World Market during the holidays for about 19 bucks for half-a-bunch from the picture. They look incredibly... cheap up lose.

Um, a gift shop in Sedona, AZ?

Cost Plus has orchids on a string that light up, not the same but maybe you can use those???

Yes, after seeing them here on AT, I saw them too at Cost Plus World Market here in LA. So it's not an urban myth. I chose not to buy it either. You might want to call your local store and see if they will stock it again if they don't have it now.

I used to have so many of these things. I found them at urban outfitters on some extreme clearance sale. Unfortunately I eventually became tired of them and gave them away. Anyways... I guess I'm only writing to say that they are out there (and for very cheap - I got 3 sets for under $10). Try ebay?

I found them in the Modern art museum in Fort Worth, not like that helps you in SF but I swear they exist!

habitat in the uk carried something similar last summer, meant to go on a wall though, not in a vase

I used to have some, I got them at urban outfitters a few years ago (they don't carry them anymore). but yes, they have them at cost plus/world market, I saw them there as recently as january.

I bought them at Urban OUtfitters as well. Since they were on sale for $4 (instead of $20-25), I stocked up and got 3 bouquets! But the flowers are very flimsy and fall off easily...

Can anyone source the mirrored table in the above pic? Or something similar that's not grossly expensive? Thanks.

a store called whacko in los angeles also carries them, but i do agree with other posters, they look really tacky up close. a little better when lit, though. and they are way too expensive on amazon.

I saw them at a home design shop (can't remember the name) on Valencia St. somewhere between 16th and 18th on the east side of the street.

Cost Plus near fisherman's warf almost always has a wide variety.

I've seen them at the Cost Plus in North Beach (by Fisherman's Wharf) also.

Please just say 'NO' to the unspeakable horror of lighted flowers in a vase. Instead stop by the Safeway and get a bunch of tulips or some other reasonable facsimile of real flowers.

I just bought some of these at Cost Plus World Market on Steven's Creek in Santa Clara (San Jose?)

In my house, I have one cherry blossom branch, which I bought online last month. Each flower is illuminated simply by plugging the cord into any outlet. And it fits to my vase very beautiful. Here is the deal for it that I found:

I wouldn't use these for everyday use...but they'd be great for entertaining. I would get white ones if I were you.

Well, it's not much help for those in the bay area but in Amsterdam I buy them at the local big box garden center. They were 4.95 euro per branch.

Forgot to say I always have fresh flowers in my home (this is Holland!) but I like the soft light of these 'branches.' They also are great to leave on when I go out for the evening. I know I shouldn't leave lights on but I don't like to come home to a dark apartment and they give just enough light.
