Sources for Pillows from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"?
Good Questions

pillowsm082109.jpgQ: Where can I find this throw pillow featured in Forgetting Sarah Marshall? I haven't finished the movie yet, but I fell in love with this pillow (big pic below) during the first five minutes. I've done some key searches on google, and looked on Etsy, Anthropologie, and other shops that carry similar styles, but to no avail. Please help!

Throw pillow? There's a throw pillow in that photo?

that might be by ankasa. they have a retail store in new york (i used to work there) and are sold in department stores like bloomingdales, barneys, etc. you can't buy online, but here's the store list: http://www.ankasa.com/home/stores.html

they have a huge range of indian embroidered pillows, but they're not cheap - all the embroidery is hand-done by artisans (not little kids, hooray!), and the quality is worth the hefty price tag.

Hi Nazik. The pillow IS from Anthropologie but they no longer carry it. I know because I owned that pillow, but bought it about three years ago in Florida. I would offer it to you, but I donated it to my boyfriend's yoga studio when it opened. Sorry!

I'm very interested in the response to this question too.

These pillows were sold by Anthropologie a couple years ago. There is also a charcoal gray one shown in the movie too, I believe. You might try a search for suzani pillows for something similiar. Personally, I love the colors of the Anthropologie ones and will keep looking for them. I don't suppose anyone on here has one that they're willing to sell?

I bought similar pillows from ruby stella home on etst.com.......she does beautiful work and she is GREAT to work with.

If you contact her ask her about the Anna Maria Horners Drawing Room "Trellis Stripe Ivory" fabric- it is similar to the one featured in the photo.

hi Nazik,
Yes this pillow is from Anthropologie and I purchased it about a year and a half ago [very on sale]. Actually while watching the movie I looked next to me and had a strange "that looks familiar" moment. I can take some up close photos if you would like to see it in more detail. This pillow would not be an impossible DIY project [as you will see from the pictures] after a little trip to the fabric store ribbon department! If you Love something like this, sometimes the DIY route is the most satisfying way to go. Unless you have any mid-century goodies and are interested in a trade =)
Good Luck!

I got excited about this post from the title, but then realized it wasn't the pillows I loved from that movie.
Any idea where to get the amazing turquoise ones from the Hawaii resort scenes?

Jayson Home and Garden sells some suzani-style pillows that are similar. Warning: they're quite expensive!

Seems like a reasonable facsimilie could be DIY'd using Amy Butler fabric and Gold Fringe Trim...

Throw pillow? That's an interesting euphemism.
