Great quote. I tried to sell 3 boxes of books which I struggled to get rid of. Bookstore only took a handful. They said they'd take the rest to the library so I let them. Still there is now empty space in my bookcases. So there is a great satisfaction.

Isn't that a lovely feeling?
The husband is always surprised that I'll sell off books... but I tell him that these books represent projects that are no longer part of my life, and I can't move forward if I'm unselectively hauling along everything I've ever done or tried to do.

wende - that's a great thought; mind if I borrow it? As a packrat (it's an inheritable disease - got it from my grandma) I'm constantly trying to let go of stuff that no longer has any meaning in my life, but sometimes I need a little extra motivation. Printing and posting this thought on my current problem areas might be just what I need to move forward in those areas.
