We've gotten into the habit of switching on our porch light when we sit outside, but have decided to spring for a box of candles to replace the harsh spotlight effect and usher in the dark with the soft, flickering glow of some no-frills candles. Besides:
"Firelight will not let you read fine stories but it's warm and you won't see the dust on the floor." -Irish Proverb
How do you light your patio, porch or yard?

Does anyone know where I can find chairs like these in the photo in LA?

I have a couple dozen small frosted glass tealight holders (in the shape of tiny terracotta pots) that I place on the table and railing of my balcony . . . it sets a beautiful atmosphere and surprisingly gives off quite a bit of light. I'll sometimes mix them up with large 3 wick candles if more light is needed. All of these items are/were procured on the cheap from places such as Old Time Pottery and the clearance shelves at Walmart or Target.

For our wedding, we're buying highball and old fashioned glasses to use as candle holders. We're just going to wrap them in vellum and place on the tables.

I like this outdoor space much better. The other one just made me think of sneezing and scratching.

Flood lights on the garage. I suppose I could get some citronella torches to keep the mosquitos away...

These are called ice cream chairs. You should be able to find them easily on ebay.
