394 Yellow Pages Cardholder by Afroditi Krassa

9-11-08-afroditi.jpg
Often when we see the work of designers who repurpose or recycle old objects to fulfill new functions, we might think to ourselves, "why didn't I think of that? I bet I could copy that idea." Afroditi Krassa has designed a collection meant for just that, opting to give the instructions away for free rather than sell the objects themselves.

One such object is this cardholder, made by rolling 394 pages from a phone directory into a metal tube.

Big question is were does one get metal tubes like that---not something you find in a local store.

I stopped by the Afroditi website, but couldn't locate the Once Upon a Year instructions. Where can we get these? Anyone?
