David Colwell's Stacking Chair is one of the most light-hearted and versatile designs we've seen in the stacking chair category, never mind the sustainably designed chair category.
We like that it looks great from every angle and that the A-line of the legs give it a sense of motion, but we're also mindful of a few other bonuses: comfort (the back support gives excellent lumber support without pressing against the spine), strength (it has a fully triangulated frame made from steam bent ash), and sustainability (Colwell uses only fast-growing, self-seeding, 'renewable' timber).
This lovely chair has the added convenience of stacking into groups of four. No wonder it's used in so many public spaces all over the UK (see examples
