Cereal boxes make great material for home office DIY projects, since their dimensions work with standard paper and magazine sizes (case in point: this cereal box magazine holder). Here's another idea that deconstructs the box to fit inside the Ikea HELMER drawer unit.
I use old shoeboxes in my dresser-drawers to help organize socks, belts, etc...
...but now I'll look at my Rice Krispies box a bit more carefully before I toss it.
