We love this idea. And while these particular tea tins might have been purchased at a store in Chinatown, it reminds us that we've probably just tossed attractive tins into the recycling bin without even thinking about reusing them. Next time we'll take a second look.
The cute coffee shop down the street gave me one of the empty tea tins. I'm going to use it to store my cheap lipton tea.

At the farmer's market I've seen basil planted in empty olive oil cans - a great look for the patio.
