Soap on a rope is something we associate with a Sunday afternoon, a microwave and scrap fabric, but it just so happens that avocados and mangos are two of our most favorite things in the world.

This soup soap isn't local, but it's handmade sustainably by South African artisans, from 100% vegetable glycerin.
$13 each, here.
"this soup isn't local..."
um, yeah, that's a good thing since even though i love avocado and mango 100%, i wouldn't want them in one soup. :-)

Soap on a rope is a happy thing. My brother has received the same soap on a rope for Christmas every year for almost twenty years. Literally the same soap. It got "left behind" the first year, and now every year, it gets re-wrapped somewhere in the present mix. Granted, the box is now disintegrating a bit, and we're all, in our 30's, but it still keeps us entertained.

goodnightdean, let's just hope our remarks weren't the cause of this kind of strike-through retaliation. :-)
