You could be here, right now. Outa the Woods is a rentable treehouse on the eastern edge of British Columbia, built 15 feet above the ground on 7 trees. While unique, the fully-furnished vacation spot is also a study in green, compact living.

The treehouse is outfitted with solar-powered electrical outlets and lights, and a propane kitchen and fireplace. Decor consists of burled wood sculpture, including the spiral staircase that runs through the middle of the cabin.

What happens when it gets windy?

Beautiful place but after so many downed trees around here last month due to high winds that is the first question on my mind.

Haha..yeah, especially after all the other trees surrounding it have been cut down.

Although it is in Eastern BC, I'd imagine it doesn't get as windy as it does here on the coast.

When I see a picture like this I want to build a gigantic tree house for my kids. But then I remember that we only have one mid-size tree in our garden…time to go watering it…again!!!

whoa! that is truly amazing.

my only complaint is that the trees that is supported by look SO thin! and it looks really bare AROUND the house? but that also might have just been from the construction.

It looks like it's beside the lake actually, with the forest to the left of the house (in the last photo)

Some of the decor is REALLY too bad however (the wolf border in the kitchen...lighting). If the decor/styling had been more simple I would be drooling, but for $150..
