We were lucky enough to find a new landlord who, when we told her about our mold and cleaner issues, offered to reimburse us if we bought eco-friendly cleaners for her cleaning people to use before we moved into our new apartment. She also was concerned enough about their health to ask them to start using the green products all the time.
What we ended up with was Seventh Generation products: Free & Clear All Purpose Cleaner and Free & Clear Glass & Surface Cleaner. We also bought Chlorine-Free Bleach because we just couldn't stand the smell of the Natural Mint Toilet Bowl Cleaner.

I've said it here before, and I'll say it again. This whole line of "green" products are not "environmentally friendly". Its just another way for consumers to spend more for the same product because they're told it has some benefit to our environment. That way, we can feel less guilty when we go about our daily lives because we've bought ourselves a false piece of mind that we're actually doing something proactive. If you really want to save the planet, petition to stop the destruction of rain forests, or to close down nuclear power plants.
George Carlin put it best when he said (something to the effect of) "The Earth has been through recurring ice ages floods, a magnetic reversal of the poles, bombardment by meteors, volcanic eruptions... and WE think a little bit of plastic is going to hurt it? The Earth will take care of itself."
Bottom line is...
YOU WILL NOT SAVE THE EARTH WITH THE TYPES OF CLEANERS YOU USE IN YOUR BATHROOM!
