Treasure from Trash

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

We're a little tired of hearing it but the sentiment is a good one and every now and then we have to remind ourselves to look for the beauty in everyday objects. We love seeing how other folks translate this concept and take the time to rethink trash and show off the beauty of simplicity and the mundane. The folks over at Yolo Colorhouse took this message to heart and came up with a clever re-use for some of their paint cans.

There's a tricky balance to showing off forgotten treasures. Push too far and it could easily go the way of the dreaded art-car. We love both of these ideas because they manage to stay on the side of tasteful reworks rather than deseperate pleas for creative street-cred. What other brilliant ideas have you come up with for reworking your discards?
