1-8-springlogo.jpgWhen we walked into Spring the other day, the first thing we noticed was how good and fresh the store smelled. It turns out that virtually everyone who walks in says the same thing. We think it's the mixture of Mrs. Meyers, Caldrea, and Method products.

1-8-spring1.jpgYou can find everything from Heath Ceramics dinnerware to Kobo Soy Candles to Anna Sova and Safecoat paints to OMI organic mattresses in the light, airy store. Spring's eco-friendly products include everything you need to feather your green nest: non-toxic household cleaners, decorative and tabletop accessories, air purifiers, vacuums, organic bedding, furniture, and books.

Lucas Heldfond describes his store as "a healthy home concept: selling environmentally friendly products for the home." He says that "all products are effective, well-designed and eco-friendly." We left empty-handed because of time constraints, but we have a hunch we'll be back very soon.

They have a huge selection of eco-friendly household cleaners (which are stocked in the shelves against the left wall in the picture at the top) and a little bit of everything else. When I last stopped by I picked up a Hinoki Wood bath mat, which gives off a pleasant natural smell in the bathroom, and an espresso colored mat for my kitchen. Nice place.

Their prices are outrageous. Bon Ami is available at the hardware store down the street for at least $1 less and the whole line of Miss Meyers can be found at Cost Plus World Market for much less. Method - Target. You get the picture. They do have some unique things, I just get tired of overpaying for everything in Russian Hill.

LOVE this store! The cleaning products smell so great that it makes cleaning a joy. The store holds itself to high standards as far as products that are sold, so it's also a great place to buy safe personal care products. If Spring sells it, I almost won't buy it anywhere else (provided it's not too expensive, as some of it is). Great place for gifts too.

I love this store! The selection of healthy home stuff is great. The lay out is open and airy, I just love walking in. As soon as you enter you are hit with the most fresh scent in the whole world, and i'm pretty sure it's just clean air, not the recycled stuff we are used to being force fed. And the prices on the cleaning supplies aren't that bad. The cleaning products are all priced close to the big box prices, but I don't have to go out of the city to get it. When I think about the dollars (and emissions) I save in gas by just walking to this store it's more than worth it.

Spring is amazing! Not only is it good for me, it is also good for the environment. We sure need more stores like this in the world. Plus, the girls that work there are pretty cute :)
