Quatrine is a vast and lovely furniture store located at the end of Hayes Valley. The showroom boosts an impressive array of stylish upholstered goods that don't sacrifice a single detail. These are the sofas you keep for your lifetime, and then probably pass down to the kids (in short: they're sturdy). And with their completely customizable collections, lifetime warranty, and dedication to replacing the cushions and slipcovers when needed, you can see why we thought you should know about them.
This was our favorite chair. It originally had a T-back cushion, but they opted for a more contemporary look because of the fabric. Again, all of Quatrine's pieces are customizable. This chair was $2400.
Quatrine's fabrics are vegetable dyed. Like some of their fabric but already have a sofa? You can buy their fabric by the yard.
All of the furnishings are manufactured in Southern California. The lead time for upholstery pieces is 10-12 weeks. The average (very ballpark here, it completely depends on the grade of fabric) price for a 3-seater sofa is $4050.
In addition to sofas, chairs, headboards, and other upholstered pieces, Quatrine also carries home accessories. We absolutely fell in love with these hanging globes, priced at $175 each.

I purchased my sofa at the Chicago Quatrine store eight years ago. It is still perfect! I love it just as much as the day it arrived, after being custom built in California. I have never seen another sofa I would rather own instead!
Lovely furniture worth the money!

While the staff is very nice and I have no doubt as to the quality of the furnishings, I found most of their upholstery styles to be rather dated, in an early-mid 90's slipcovered Shabby Chic sort of way, and the fabrics are rather drab - all sorts of boring taupe/beige/greige/sage.
If you want the Pottery Barn look but want to spend alot more, this is the place to go.

I have a sofa and chair from quatrine and they are the most comfortable pieces of furniture I have ever owned. Definitely worth the money!
