Instead of trying to "fix" the obvious mistake (which is the right thing to do but frankly a bit boring and no fun) play it up like you meant to do that. IE extend the door molding above the tile all the way across the wall over the tile. Maybe vary the patterns of vertical grooves as it extends toward the corner.
