Home & Garden Highlights: 1.20.07

2007_01_21_kessler20_0049_e.jpgThank you Zahid Sardar. If it weren't for your new monthly design innovators series, we'd have little to recommend from this weekend's H&G section.

In his latest installment, Zahid profiled local industrial designer Tracey Kessler ("Industrial Organic"), who finds inspiration and materials for her boldly-scaled light fixtures (a cluster of her cage lights is seen left) by combing the inventory of an architectural salvage center. Kessler's seems like an enviable gig, and though her fixtures are pricey, they don't seem that difficult to mimic -- so long as you're content to stick to one-of-a-kind prototypes.
