This could be way hot with a fabric overhaul, or even a custom-fitted slipcover. Get it in a fab retro shade and it would look good in most retro and modern living rooms, dependent on which fabrics are chosen.

I agree. It would be beyond hot in a neutral. The form of the sofa is enough. It doesn't need to be chartreuse.
